Peter Fonda is in talks and Donal Logue has joined the cast of the Nicolas Cage starrer Ghost Rider for Columbia Pictures….
Fonda will play the role of Mephistopheles, and Logue will play Mack, Johnny’s chief mechanic and best friend who soups up Johnny’s motorcycles for his stunts.
Mark Steven Johnson is directing the film, which also stars Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matt Long, and Sam Elliott.
I still find it hard to understand how this this is going to transfer to the movie screen, but you gotta have some faith and not be completely cynical all the time!
I remember, I think it was watching the extras on Requiem for a Dream, that Fonda doesn’t take many roles nowadays, just ones that really do appeal to him. The talk was that Fonda was actively courting this role rather than being asked to do it, and for me that does speak volumes about it. Perhaps it could be that good after all.
