Some might scoff at the idea of an actor being required to play the great Arnold Schwarzennegar, and I smiled as I read the title of the news story from Associated Press through Yahoo:

Well why do you need an actor? When you read the story you realise he’s a lot less actor and a lot more Arnie, which is actually really spot on, just what you need to play the big man.
They carry the news that an Austrian bodybuilder is to play Arnie in the TV movie See Arnold Run which chronicles his life from his early days of a world beating bodybuilder through to becoming Governor of California:
He’s Austrian, he bears a striking resemblance to his hero and he’s got bulging biceps he likes to call “my little Alps.” Who better to play Arnold Schwarzenegger (news – web sites) in a U.S. made-for-TV movie than local actor Roland Kickinger?
Inspired by the Schwarzenegger film “Conan the Barbarian,” Kickinger began bodybuilding at a gym in Vienna in the 1980s. Now he’s starring as a young Schwarzenegger in “See Arnold Run,” a film being made by the American cable channel A&E.
So, early on Cody Brink plays Arnie, then during the bodybuilding years Roland Kickinger takes over, his previous experience being a few small parts in movies most notably Lethal Weapon 4 as a Detective. What struck me the most though, and wasn’t said much about, was who will be playing Arnie in the Political years, Jürgen Prochnow! If you don’t know who he is, check, you’ll recognise him instantly. I’d say Das Boot straight away. Now I was immediately surprised, but looking at them it’s not so surprising, there is a big similarity, just that he’s a good actor!
