Dredd 3D is hitting BluRay

I don’t often chime in too much on the home releases of films unless it’s something that I feel personally passionate about and Dredd slips into that category quite nicely.  The BluRay release for the film is approaching and to stir up some hype we have a new TV spot for the release directly from the studio for us all to enjoy and remind those of you who said “I’ll wait for it to hit DVD” that your day has come, check it out:

Both DVD and Blu-ray release include a bunch of special featurettes:
Mega-City Masters: 35 Years of Judge Dredd” featurette
“Day of Chaos: The Visual Effects of Dredd 3D” featurette
“Dredd” featurette
“Dredd’s Gear” featurette
“The 3rd Dimension” featurette
“Welcome to Peach Trees” featurette

Critics and fans alike have praised the film for its gritty recreation of the original comic book, as well as the stunning visual style and Urban’s stoic portrayal of the iconic hero.

Sold. It’ll look great nestled between the Avengers and the Dark Knight Rises on my shelf. That’s all for now…
