I don’t want to waste too much of my time on this post, but it at least deserves mentioning. Let me say this once. Are you all listening? MEGAN FOX IS NOT CATWOMAN. Ok?

I don’t care what “The Sun” said. It’s not happening. Do you think for one solitary moment that Christopher Nolan would ever in a million years even CONSIDER casting a talentless piece of meat like Megan Fox in his Batman franchise?

The man who put Christian Bale in

The man who put Gary Oldman in
The man who put Morgan Freeman in

This is not Michael Bay. Nolan is not all about tits and ass. This is his Batman franchise, and there is no way in hell this genius is going to put Megan Fox in it. Period. End of story. No questions asked.

I simply can not believe how many people I’ve read on the web today that actually believe this tripe.

This reminds of of last year when people were eating up the “news” that it was “confirmed” that Johnny Depp and Philip Seymour Hoffman had joined the cast of Batman 3 as the Riddler and the Penguin… long before Nolan had even begun thinking about a Batman 3.

It… is… not… happening.

Maybe she could be “Nameless hooker #5”, but that’s about as far as Nolan would go.

Combined with her acting skills and beautiful body, one could possibly says that she is near to perfection that’s what we admire most.

    I agree Nolan almost certainly isn’t going to cast Megan Fox as catwoman but for everyone saying “she is a terrible actress.” (only a sith deals in absolutes) it’s pretty short sighted, she hasn’t played any noteworthy parts to date, sure, but then she hasn’t done all that much to date!

    If Nolan was to cast her maybe this would be the role that she steps up and is long remembered for! afterall, I seem to remember alot of reactions of either amusement or disgust from many fans when Ledger was cast as the Joker…

    So while I doubt Megan Fox will be cast in a Nolan Batman, in response to your comment – “Maybe she could be “Nameless hooker #5″ – I ask, is there really any need for that?

    1. these movies hold a sense of reality i dont think bane and mr freeze are in keeping with the established tone for the future of the franchise. The only way i could see it going would be to touch back with the league of shadows. People loved batman begins even more so than dark knight (at least i did close second though). Health Ledger is so revered for his role let it be there and go back to the roots of begins and give a deep story based on wayne and bats duality.

  7. Thats going to be an epic film but we have to find a way to include Carmen Electra she is in all those films. Maybe she can be Giganta and we do some JLA crossover. The only way to make Carmen’s chest bigger is turn her into a giant!

  11. I don’t think that the Oscars hate comedies. Just about 2 years Juno won for best original screenplay and was nominated for best picture. And last year Robert Downey Jr. was nominated for best supporting actor for Tropic Thunder.

  14. I would like to see Christina Ricci play Catwoman, she is always in great shape and has that impish/crazy persona that I always imaging Catwoman to have.

    I know the Fox thing is a big hoax, so no point commenting on that.

    1. Christina Ricci? not a bad idea at all, aside from having played bad girls many time, good actress, not a mainstream tabloid fodder, not overtly beautiful, gothic chick looks, cute body (see black snake moan). I’m all for this one.

  16. LOL wow….First Johnny Deep and Phillip Seymour Hoffman were “cast” as The Riddler and The Penguin, then Miley Cyrus supposedly trying to audition as Batgirl (in costume), and now THIS? Megan Fox is hot and all, but there’s NO WAY that Christopher Nolan would ever cast her as Batman’s love interest. None at all.

    Rumors sure make me laugh sometimes.

  17. Hello ppl. Megan Fox can’t be Catwoman. She’s going to be Batgirl in the next movie. Halle Berry is the only actress who can pull Catwoman. If Nolan signs on this will be his first casting choice. Her spectacular performance in the very underrated and Brilliant Catwoman made me realize she is destined to be Catwoman. Now, if Eddie Murphy signs on as The Riddler, Batman 3 will be the 2nd best movie ever, next to Catwoman of course.

      1. Not gothic enough for one, ears too short for my taste (check the long ears in Judgment on Gotham for instance) and looks too much like armor.

        I’d like to see a stab at the dark blue and grey instead of going to black every time. Maybe it doesn’t translate well to a real life actor, but at least tone down the battle armor look. ugh.

        I always held the belief that had Schumacher been allowed to continue, that wish would have been granted. In Batman & Robin, the new suits had a dark blue/silver thing going on, silver replacing the grey. In my mind, it was a back door waiting to be opened.

        We stopped it in the nick of time.

Now, I know that Nolan hasn’t signed on yet, (crosses fingers) but this is getting ridiculous. I’m completely 100% with John on this. Minus the trash-talk about Megan Fox, and hate me if you want for this, but as an actress, I think she’s okay. She just needs time to find her voice. Remember, not everyone liked Jack Nicholson when he started acting, but look at him now.

    BTW John, did you ever hear the rumor that Miley “Hannah Montana” Cyrus was the next actress to play Batgirl? The rumors these days.

      3. I have to disagree with you bigsampson. Holmes isn’t “nothing” onscreen. She does well in certain kinds of roles. I thought she gave pretty damn good performance in “Pieces of April.” Just because she gave a mundane performance in “Batman Begins” doesn’t mean she’s a bad actress.

I know I am probably one of many who e-mailed this to you, as it did not seem believable, but compared to other rumors, etc; this one actually used the word SIGNED, so that freaked me a little. Do not get me wrong, she has the look, but none of the talent to pull this off.

That said, this isn’t happening, and if it did, I don’t know how enthusiastic I would be, even if it was shot entirely in IMAX

      8. I am not going to be a party to unfair myths and stereotypes that some people put on FoxNews. That “tripe” as you put it focuses a lot on current news, and while there are times when some of their commentators/show hosts go overboard, I have little respect for those who choose to put all of FoxNews in a box.

        There are times when I feel that the commentator hosts of the opinion shows (O’Reilly, and especially Hannity, who I can barely watch) point the finger to the “extreme left” one too many times. But I do find them, for the most part, fair and balanced.

        You have a right to disagree, but you also have a right to be wrong.
