Latino Review SUPERMAX Script Review

Green Arrow

The guys over at Latino Review have gotten their hands on the David Goyer Green Arrow script that is currently titled SUPERMAX. If you go over to Latino Review they discuss the script in great detail (SPOILER CITY). If you dislike spoilers stay away from the source article

The film basically starts with Green Arrow in prison being stripped of his gear and alter ego. He is left n de-robed hero in prison, and has to break out. In order to achieve this end, he makes alliances with criminals he himself put in prison in order to get out.

I must admit, this is a pretty interesting take on a superhero film and I am now quite curious about the project.

I am trying to unlearn what I read in the script review as I type. ….gone. ADHD has its perks.

  1. I quite like the concept, although 99 percent of the audience will have no idea whatsoever who Green Arrow is.
This sounds like a project that is purely made for geeks. I’m not sure if it would connect with a wider audience.

  2. Meh. Another Superhero movie where the Hero stays out of costume most of the film. And is Green Arrow really a Superhero? Has he super strength or is he just a decent archer.
And who the hell wants to see a movie about this character? There is nothing remotely cool about the way he looks, his “power” or his poofy goatee.
    I predict….that this movie….will never be made….ever.

  3. A vendetta from D.C. is the best work they could put out. Marvel is my preferred comic book company. I haven’t read one comic ever but I have seen a lot of the movies. Batman and V has been the only D.C. Superhero that has done anything for me. After seeing Green Arrow on Justice League Ultimate and Oliver Queen/ Green Arrow character on Smallville I have seen the same love that I did from Batman and V. So in this entire movie looks good.

  4. RODNEY
dude you know tyrome gibbons might play luke cage btw? (totally off topic but you mentioned him)

and- this is a dc character- so dcs actually making a move? niiice!

well then- this guy can be in jla if they choose to get an actor that would like to be in it too right?

whys it called supermax? why not green arro- oh..never mind…

  5. I like this idea as a good cop movie. But not green arrow.

What’s the point of Green Arrow if he doesnt have his gear??

Once you take away everything that defines the character all you are left with is a normal guy.

Its a great story idea, but use it on some minor hero who still has his identity without his toys. Luke Cage or something.
