A new Kill Code cyberpunk action thriller has secured a domestic distributor, but the project is already facing pushback from one of its stars. Frank Grillo recently took to social media to dispute how the film is being promoted to audiences.
Quiver Distribution announced it has acquired the domestic rights to the film, which is written and directed by Justin Price. The studio plans to release the project digitally on July 24, 2026. The film also features performances from Tyrese Gibson and Harvey Keitel.
Following the announcement, Grillo expressed his frustration on Instagram regarding the marketing materials. The actor described the promotion as incredibly misleading, noting that he only filmed a single scene for the production. Set in a dystopian future, the story follows a world where a powerful corporation has replaced the traditional prison system. In this regime, criminals serve as law enforcers. Prisoners infected with the virus are forced to eliminate one another to secure their freedom, while a cyber-operative played by Franzi Schissler uncovers a dark truth that sparks a rebellion.
Price stated that the goal was to blend elements of cyberpunk, survival action, and character-driven science fiction. The film is produced by Powell and Price Productions, with Latavius Powell and Price serving as producers.
