WWE’s Monday Night Raw rolled into Houston on April 6 with the final major developments ahead of WrestleMania 42. The show featured CM Punk, Brock Lesnar, Oba Femi, and multiple matches shaping the biggest event of the year.
CM Punk Opens Raw
CM Punk opened the show with a promo addressing Roman Reigns ahead of their WrestleMania match. Punk stated that Reigns was not in the building and criticized him throughout the segment.
He described himself as unpredictable and labeled Reigns as controlled and safe, while also referencing WWE leadership and outside influences. Punk closed the segment standing with the crowd after delivering his message.
LA Knight vs. Austin Theory

LA Knight faced Austin Theory in singles action with Logan Paul and IShowSpeed at ringside.
Outside distractions played a role late in the match when Paul pushed Speed into Knight. Theory took advantage of the moment and secured a roll-up victory.
Following the match, Knight issued a challenge for a six-man tag team match at WrestleMania, which was made official.
Result: Austin Theory defeated LA Knight
Finn Balor and JD McDonagh Segment
Finn Balor’s scheduled match against JD McDonagh did not officially begin. Dominik Mysterio attacked Balor before the bell.
Balor briefly fought back but was overwhelmed by Mysterio and McDonagh. The segment ended with Mysterio standing over Balor with a steel chair.
Bayley vs. Lash Legend
Bayley faced Lash Legend in singles competition. Legend controlled much of the match using her size and strength advantage.
Interference from multiple competitors involved in the women’s tag team division impacted the finish. Lyra Valkyria helped shift momentum, allowing Bayley to secure the win.
Result: Bayley defeated Lash Legend
Seth Rollins and Gunther Confrontation

Seth Rollins addressed Paul Heyman and The Vision before Gunther attacked from behind.
The two brawled before officials separated them. Gunther later warned Heyman backstage that he owed him more than a favor following the attack.
Six-Man Tag Team Match
Penta, Je’Von Evans, and Dragon Lee teamed up to face Los Americanos.
The match featured high-paced action and multiple aerial sequences. Penta delivered a Mexican Destroyer during the closing stretch, while Evans hit the OG Cutter to secure the victory.
After the match, Rey Mysterio returned and announced his entry into the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania.
Result: Penta, Evans, and Dragon Lee defeated Los Americanos
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. Michin and B-Fab
Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky reunited in tag team action against Michin and B-Fab.
Sky secured the win with a roll-up despite interference from Jade Cargill. After the match, Cargill attacked Sky with a kendo stick and delivered Jaded.
Result: Ripley and Sky defeated Michin and B-Fab
Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi Contract Signing

The contract signing between Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi took place later in the show.
After both men entered the ring, Lesnar attacked Femi before a full brawl broke out. The fight escalated quickly, with both competitors crashing through the table.
Security attempted to separate them, but the confrontation continued as the show went off the air.

The final Monday Night Raw before WrestleMania 42 solidified multiple matchups. CM Punk delivered a message to Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi escalated their rivalry again, and Rey Mysterio officially joined the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match.
