Netflix WWE Monday Night Raw: CM Punk Confronts The Usos

WWE’s Monday Night Raw streamed live on Netflix from Seattle on March 9 as the road to WrestleMania 42 continued. The show featured a No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, an Intercontinental Title defense, and developments involving The Judgment Day.

Rollins and The Vision Open the Show

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce called out Seth Rollins to begin the broadcast. Pearce warned Rollins about escalating tensions with The Vision while he is still recovering from surgery.

Logan Paul and Austin Theory interrupted before the confrontation could escalate. LA Knight and The Usos entered the ring, forcing the heels to retreat.

Dominik Mysterio Confronts Finn Bálor

After losing the Intercontinental Championship the previous week, Dominik Mysterio confronted Finn Bálor. Bálor told Mysterio he needed to learn to fight his own battles.

Mysterio attacked Bálor, and the situation escalated when JD McDonagh turned on Bálor and joined Mysterio and The Judgment Day in a four-on-one attack.

Women’s Intercontinental Championship No. 1 Contender’s Gauntlet Match

Six competitors battled for a championship opportunity against AJ Lee.

The match began with Iyo Sky facing Lyra Valkyria. Sky eliminated Valkyria with Over the Moonsault.

Sky then eliminated Raquel Rodriguez after a distraction involving Liv Morgan and Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Ivy Nile entered next and pinned Sky following an attack from Rodriguez.

Bayley then eliminated Nile with the Bayley-to-Belly.

The final fall came against Asuka. After interference outside the ring involving Valkyria and Kairi Sane, Bayley delivered the Rose Plant to secure the victory.

Result: Bayley won the gauntlet match to become the No. 1 contender to the Women’s Intercontinental Championship.

Intercontinental Championship Match

Penta (c) vs Original El Grande Americano

Penta defended the Intercontinental Championship against the Original El Grande Americano.

The challenger attempted to control the match using strength and technical counters. Penta regained momentum and delivered a springboard Mexican Destroyer to secure the victory.

Result: Penta defeated Original El Grande Americano to retain the Intercontinental Championship.

Oba Femi vs Rusev

Oba Femi faced Rusev in a physical match. Rusev controlled early with power offense before Femi rallied. Femi delivered a spinebuster and secured the pinfall.

Result: Oba Femi defeated Rusev.

CM Punk Confronts The Usos

World Heavyweight Champion CM Punk addressed his ongoing rivalry with Roman Reigns ahead of WrestleMania 42.

The Usos interrupted and demanded Punk apologize for the remarks he made about their family the previous week. Punk refused and referenced his past history with the Anoaʻi family before calling the Usos “young boys.”

Jimmy Uso responded by throwing a microphone at Punk, ending the show.
