Even though the summer heat is still lingering, the fall season has officially arrived at Disneyland Resort. Starting today, the park is embracing the spooky and festive spirit with the return of Halloween Time and Plaza de la Familia in Disneyland Resort. These seasonal celebrations bring a variety of family-friendly entertainment, attraction overlays, and limited-time food and beverage offerings to guests through the coming months.
Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort is scheduled to run through October 31, 2026. This year, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, and their friends are debuting all-new Halloween looks. These updated outfits feature harlequin-inspired motifs, frilled collars and cuffs, and intricate confectionery details that capture the essence of the season. Additionally, the fan-favorite Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction is celebrating a major milestone. The ride features a new gingerbread house designed as a monstrous music box to mark 25 years of these elaborate, sweet creations.
The return of these seasonal events is a highlight for many park-goers because it signals a shift in the atmosphere and offerings that define the guest experience. Whether it is the specific character costumes or the unique culinary additions, these details provide a reason for fans to return and see how the park evolves its traditions year after year. The blend of classic attractions with fresh, seasonal overlays ensures that even frequent visitors find something new to enjoy during the fall months.
Seasonal Entertainment and Attractions
Guests visiting during this period can look forward to a full slate of entertainment. At Disney California Adventure, the daytime show Mickey’s Trick and Treat is back, while Disneyland will host the Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular on select nights. Popular attraction overlays are also returning, including Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, and the high-energy Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.
Beyond the rides, the park is introducing new seasonal bites, such as buffalo chicken ranch pull-apart bread. Plaza de la Familia, which runs through November 2, 2026, continues to honor the spirit of Día de los Muertos at Disney California Adventure with festive décor, live entertainment, and Mexican-inspired cuisine. Guests can also look forward to new merchandise, including a Vampire Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket and a Coco Lantern sipper, both arriving in early September.
Resort-Wide Fall Atmosphere
The fall celebration extends beyond the theme parks. The Pixar Place Hotel now features new holiday décor inspired by Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. Meanwhile, the Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel and Spa are bringing back their signature confectionery displays. Downtown Disney District is also joining the festivities with seasonal décor, shopping, and live entertainment.
For families planning a visit, the Kids’ Summer Ticket Offer remains available for use through September 7, 2026, providing a cost-effective way to experience the start of the fall season. More details on these events and ticket offers can be found on the official Disneyland website.
