Lil Duval and Swirl Films Set Six-City Premiere Tour for Camp Duval

Comedian and actor Lil Duval is hitting the road to promote his latest project, the horror-comedy Camp Duval: Ain’t Nobody Dying Today. Swirl Films and the star have officially announced a six-city interactive premiere tour designed to build anticipation before the film arrives in select AMC theaters on September 24. Following the theatrical run, the movie will be available for audiences on VOD platforms including Apple TV and Amazon Prime just in time for the Halloween season.

The film centers on a premise that blends stand-up culture with supernatural thrills. Duval plays a character who purchases a dilapidated former summer camp, inviting a group of fellow comedians for what is intended to be a productive weekend comedy retreat. However, the trip takes a dark turn when a vengeful ghost begins targeting the group in ironic ways. The comedians must then work to uncover the history of the camp and survive the ordeal using the only tools they have, which is the power of comedy.

This project is notable for its unique approach to genre blending, as it leans into the comedic backgrounds of its cast to subvert traditional horror tropes. By bringing the film directly to fans through a multi-city tour, the production team is clearly looking to leverage the existing fanbases of the featured comedians to drive interest in the theatrical release.

Tour Details and Cast

The ensemble cast features JaySki, Just Brittany, Erica Duchess, Nod Ross, and MoneyBags Mafia, with additional appearances by Tyler Chronicles and Navv Greene. The interactive tour is scheduled to provide fans with more than just a screening, as each stop will include red carpet arrivals, meet-and-greet opportunities, live music, and various immersive activations.

The tour begins in Duval’s hometown of Jacksonville, Florida, at Cinemark Tinseltown on September 10. From there, the production travels to Tampa’s Sun-Ray Cinema on September 17, followed by Premiere Cinemas in Birmingham on September 24. The schedule continues with stops at the Belcourt Theatre in Nashville on October 8 and the Belair Luxury Cinema in Detroit on October 15. The tour concludes with an official red carpet premiere at the Tara Theatre in Atlanta on October 29.

Theatrical and Streaming Availability

For those unable to attend the tour, the film will see a limited theatrical release in select AMC markets starting September 24. The move to bring the film to both physical theaters and major digital platforms like Apple TV ensures that the horror-comedy will reach a wide audience during the peak of the spooky season. Interested viewers can find more information regarding tickets and local showtimes at the official project website.

This release strategy highlights a growing trend of independent productions utilizing experiential marketing to stand out in a crowded marketplace. By combining the premiere tour with a strategic VOD rollout, the team behind the film is positioning it to capture both the theatrical experience and the convenience of home viewing.
