A New Look at Sugar Season Two
Apple TV has released a sneak peek clip for the upcoming fourth episode of Sugar season two. The series, which offers a contemporary take on the private detective genre, continues its weekly release schedule this Friday, July 10.
The neo-noir detective story stars Colin Farrell, who also serves as an executive producer. Farrell returns as John Sugar, a private investigator and film enthusiast who remains on Earth to search for his sister while simultaneously taking on a new missing persons case involving a local boxer. As the investigation deepens, Sugar finds himself entangled in a city-wide conspiracy that forces him to confront his own moral boundaries.
Episode Details and Production
The fourth episode of the season, titled Off 15, sees Sugar making a powerful enemy while dealing with a falling out with Charlotte. The search for Ji remains a central focus of the narrative as the season progresses toward its conclusion on August 7.
The second season is showrun by Sam Catlin, who executive produces under his Short Drive Entertainment banner. The series was created by Mark Protosevich. In addition to Farrell, the cast for the second season includes Jin Ha, Raymond Lee, Tony Dalton, Laura Donnelly, Sasha Calle, and special guest star Shea Whigham.
