Scary Movie Extended Cut Arrives on Digital Platforms

More Chaos and New Scenes

Fans of the long-running parody franchise have more to look forward to as the Scary Movie Extended Cut makes its way to digital platforms. Paramount Home Entertainment confirmed the release, which promises additional scenes and even more unhinged humor than the theatrical version.

The extended edition arrives for purchase or rental on July 21, 2026. This release brings back the core cast, including Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans, alongside Anna Faris and Regina Hall, as they reunite to face a new masked killer. The project is directed by Michael Tiddes and produced by Rick Alvarez.

Bonus Content and Physical Release

Beyond the extended cut, the digital release includes a variety of bonus features. Viewers can access the original theatrical cut, a never-before-seen alternate ending, and several behind-the-scenes featurettes. These segments include reunion interviews with the cast, a look at the new ensemble, and dissections of the film’s most outrageous set pieces.

For those who prefer physical media, the studio has confirmed that the film will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Ultra HD starting September 22, 2026. You can view the official trailer for the project here.
