A New Fantasy Epic Approaches
Paramount Pictures has officially unveiled the first look at the upcoming fantasy epic Children of Blood and Bone. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Gina Prince-Bythewood, the film is based on the bestselling novel by Tomi Adeyemi.
The story takes place in the fantasy world of Orïsha. It follows a young woman on a dangerous quest to restore the magic that was violently stolen from her people. To succeed, she must team up with her brother and unlikely allies from the royal family to challenge a ruthless king and reclaim hope for her kingdom.
An All-Star Ensemble Cast
The production features a massive ensemble cast. The film stars Thuso Mbedu, Damson Idris, Amandla Stenberg, and Tosin Cole. The supporting cast includes Cynthia Erivo, Lashana Lynch, Zackary Momoh, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Chiwetel Ejiofor as King Saran, and Regina King as Queen Nehanda. The project also features Idris Elba and Viola Davis.
With a director known for character-driven storytelling and a cast of this caliber, the adaptation is shaping up to be a major event for fantasy fans. Release Information
