With SummerSlam rapidly approaching, WWE Raw delivered another pivotal episode Monday night from Dallas, Texas. The July 14 edition of Netflix WWE Monday Night Raw featured major developments involving Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi, escalating tensions between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, and a high-stakes gauntlet match to determine the next challenger for Penta’s Intercontinental Championship.

Brock Lesnar and Oba Femi Continue SummerSlam Build

Brock Lesnar opened the show alongside Paul Heyman and a heavy police presence. Heyman revealed that Lesnar had secured a restraining order against Oba Femi ahead of their upcoming Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam.

The plan quickly unraveled when Femi arrived, brushed aside security personnel, and confronted Lesnar and Heyman directly. The King of the Ring explained that he chose Lesnar over a guaranteed championship opportunity because he believed The Beast would have eventually interfered regardless. He then promised to end their rivalry inside Hell in a Cell.

Iyo Sky Defeats Roxanne Perez

Iyo Sky continued her march toward SummerSlam with a singles match against Roxanne Perez. Throughout the contest, Sky battled through a lingering knee injury that Liv Morgan had previously targeted.

Perez repeatedly attacked the injured leg, but Sky found a way to counter a late rollup attempt and score the victory.

Result: Iyo Sky defeated Roxanne Perez.

Following the match, Liv Morgan, Perez, and Raquel Rodriguez launched a three-on-one assault. Sol Ruca attempted to make the save but was overwhelmed as The Judgment Day stood tall heading into SummerSlam.

Maxxine Dupri Aligns Further with The Vision

The Vision addressed the WWE Universe after capturing the World Tag Team Championship last week. Austin Theory, Bron Breakker, Logan Paul, and Maxxine Dupri entered together as questions continued surrounding Dupri’s alliance with the faction.

Otis and Akira Tozawa confronted Dupri, hoping to understand her actions. Instead, tensions escalated into a fight between Alpha Academy and The Vision. When Otis nearly got his hands on Theory, Dupri intervened and appeared to manipulate the situation long enough for Theory to deliver a low blow. The segment ended with Dupri embracing Theory while The Vision stood over Alpha Academy.

Bloodline Issues Continue

Jimmy Uso faced Royce Keys in a rematch from SmackDown. Before the contest could reach a decisive conclusion, Jacob Fatu arrived and attacked Jimmy. Solo Sikoa followed and briefly appeared ready to reunite with Fatu before striking Jimmy himself.

LA Knight eventually arrived with a steel chair and cleared the ring. Afterward, Knight proposed a six-man tag team match for SummerSlam featuring himself, Solo Sikoa, and Royce Keys against Jacob Fatu and The Usos.

Result: Royce Keys defeated Jimmy Uso via disqualification.

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria Exchange Words

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria met face-to-face in a heated confrontation. Valkyria unloaded with personal insults and dismissed previous praise she had given Bayley. The former Women’s Intercontinental Champion fired back, reminding Valkyria of her accomplishments and promising to settle their issues at Madison Square Garden.

The exchange became physical before Valkyria ultimately stood tall.

Chad Gable Wins No. 1 Contender Gauntlet Match

The night’s featured match saw seven competitors battle for an Intercontinental Championship opportunity against Penta at SummerSlam. Dominik Mysterio, Joe Hendry, Je’Von Evans, Dragon Lee, Rusev, Chad Gable, and Ethan Page all entered the gauntlet.

Je’Von Evans delivered another standout performance, eliminating both Dominik Mysterio and Dragon Lee before eventually falling to Rusev. Gable entered later in the match and defeated Rusev before overcoming Ethan Page in the final stage of the contest.

Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins Sign SummerSlam Contract

The show closed with Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins making their SummerSlam World Heavyweight Championship match official. Sitting across from one another, both men traded insults and revisited years of history between them.

Reigns attempted to get inside Rollins’ head by questioning his status and repeatedly referring to him as second-best. The comments eventually worked, as Rollins snapped and attacked the champion. He ended the show standing tall after delivering both a Pedigree and a Stomp.
