The Japanese pop-rock trio Mrs. GREEN APPLE has officially released their new track, Brand New, which serves as the Japanese theme song for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The song is available now on all major streaming platforms ahead of the movie’s simultaneous theatrical release in Japan and the U.S. on July 31.
The band collaborated closely on the track with key members of the production team, including Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige, producer Amy Pascal, and director Destin Daniel Cretton. According to the announcement, the song was written to reflect Peter Parker’s resilience and determination as he balances his personal life with his responsibilities as the iconic hero.

During the discussion, band member Motoki Ohmori shared that the song’s lyrics were partially inspired by the visual similarity between Spider-Man’s web-shooting gesture and the internationally recognized sign for I love you.
