Masters of the Universe Heads to Home Video This October

Fans of the latest big-screen adaptation of Masters of the Universe will soon be able to bring the action home. Amazon MGM Studios and Alliance Home Entertainment have officially announced that the film will arrive on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, and DVD on October 20, 2026.

Directed by Travis Knight, the film follows Prince Adam, played by Nicholas Galitzine, as he returns to his home world of Eternia after 15 years of separation. Upon his arrival, he finds his kingdom shattered under the rule of the villainous Skeletor. To reclaim his home and save his family, Adam must embrace his destiny as He-Man, joining forces with allies like Teela and Man-At-Arms to fight for the future of the universe.

The home video release arrives following a successful theatrical run that began on June 5, 2026, where the film grossed $113 million internationally. The project has resonated with audiences, currently holding an 86% Popcornmeter score on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics have praised the film for its vibrant action sequences and for finally delivering the He-Man experience that fans have anticipated for decades.

Home Video Features and Collector Editions

The upcoming physical media release includes several bonus features designed for fans of the franchise. Both the 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray editions will come packed with a behind-the-scenes promotional gallery. Additionally, viewers can look forward to a special feature titled Masters of Light: Skies of Eternia Drone Spectacle.

For those looking for a more premium experience, Amazon will offer an exclusive SteelBook edition. This collector-focused package includes the film on 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray discs, along with a collectible mini-comic book. Both the standard and exclusive versions are currently available for pre-order through Amazon.

A New Chapter for the Franchise

The film was written by Chris Butler, Aaron Nee, Adam Nee, and Dave Callaham. The production team behind the project includes Todd Black, Jason Blumenthal, Robbie Brenner, and DeVon Franklin. With its strong performance in theaters and a dedicated following, the home video release marks a significant milestone for this iteration of the iconic property.

Whether you are a long-time fan of the franchise or a newcomer to the world of Eternia, the October release provides a perfect opportunity to revisit the adventure. You can view the official trailer to get a glimpse of the action before the discs hit shelves this fall.
