Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga Depart Solo Sikoa?s MFT Faction

The landscape of WWE SmackDown shifted significantly during the June 26 episode as Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga officially parted ways with Solo Sikoa and his MFT faction.

The group, which stood for My Family Tree, had seen its ranks dwindle following the releases of JC Mateo and Tonga Loa earlier this year. Tensions between Sikoa and his remaining stablemates had been mounting for months, reaching a breaking point last week when Sikoa inadvertently cost the duo their WWE Tag Team Championship match against Damian Priest and R-Truth.

Following their departure, the fallout from the split began immediately. Sikoa attempted to recruit LA Knight, citing their shared animosity toward The Bloodline, but Knight declined the offer due to a lack of trust. Meanwhile, Tama and Talla Tonga were seen backstage with Finn Balor, hinting at potential future alliances given their shared history in NJPW.

The Future of the MFT Split

The dissolution of the MFT faction leaves Solo Sikoa operating as a solo act for the time being. His failed attempt to align with LA Knight suggests he is actively seeking new partners to target members of The Bloodline, including Roman Reigns and The Usos. The lingering camera shot on Finn Balor following his interaction with the Tongas indicates that the creative direction for all parties involved remains a focal point for the coming weeks.

This development marks a major pivot for Sikoa, who had been building his own power structure outside of the traditional Bloodline hierarchy. Fans will be watching closely to see how the individual paths of these performers diverge as the fallout from this breakup continues to unfold on television.
