Disney Pixar’s Hoppers opened with a $59.5 million global weekend. The film earned $28.5 million in the United States and $31 million across 45 foreign markets. After ten days, Hoppers reached $164.7 million worldwide, placing it among the top three U.S. releases of the year.
The movie held strong in its second weekend, dropping only 37% in the United States and 17% abroad. It led the market in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore and Vietnam, and posted the second highest opening for an original animated film in Japan since the pandemic.
International Holds and Surprises
European markets, except the Netherlands, favored Hoppers. Germany added 38% growth, while Mexico fell only 3%. Italy, Korea, Brazil, France, Spain and the United Kingdom each saw declines between 13% and 37%, but the film still posted solid earnings.
Switzerland, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Ecuador, Denmark, Czechia, Portugal and Chile recorded second weekend spikes, ranging from 1% to 67%.
Reminders of Him Earns $28 Million Worldwide
Universal’s adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel opened with $28.2 million globally. Germany led with $2.5 million, followed by the United Kingdom and Ireland with $1.5 million. Australia contributed $1.3 million, and the Netherlands added $750,000.
In Italy the film debuted at number four with $500,000, while Mexico placed it at number five with $459,000. The movie performed well in Switzerland, Austria, Poland and Belgium, outpacing other recent Hoover adaptations.
Scream 7 Becomes Franchise Leader
Paramount’s Scream 7 crossed $100 million in North America and reached $176.9 million worldwide, overtaking the original Scream’s total of $173 million. The latest weekend added $17.7 million, with $8.3 million from domestic theaters and $9.4 million from 55 overseas markets.
Top markets included France ($1.3 million), Germany ($980,000), Mexico ($953,000) and Brazil ($844,000). The film’s strong performance pushed its cumulative gross past the lifetime earnings of Scream VI.
Hamnet Hits the Century Mark

Focus Features’ period drama Hamnet celebrated an Oscar Sunday milestone by passing $100.6 million globally. The film earned $1.87 million this weekend, with $1.67 million from overseas markets.
In the United Kingdom, Hamnet grossed $25.3 million, the highest for a BAFTA Best Picture nominee. The movie also ranked as the fourth biggest international box office for a female directed Oscar nominated film.
Other Notable Performances
Sony’s GOAT added $13.8 million globally, bringing its foreign total to $72.2 million and its North American total to $90.6 million. China contributed $3.3 million over two days, and Australia opened at number one with $3.2 million.
Racecar film Pegasus 3 continued to dominate China’s market with $11.2 million in its fourth weekend, reaching a $615.8 million cumulative total.
Spain’s local comedy Torrente Presidente led the market with $8 million, pushing the franchise’s worldwide earnings to $104.5 million.
