Crunchyroll Manga App Launch Date Revealed: October 15

Crunchyroll lit up New York Comic Con with a wave of announcements that will shape the next year of anime and manga. From new seasons to a brand‑new reading platform, the event gave fans plenty to talk about. If you are looking for a way to read manga on the go, the highlight was the launch of the Crunchyroll manga app.

New anime announcements at New York Comic Con

During the New York Comic Con showcase, Crunchybound staff revealed several key titles. Oshi no Ko Season 3 will stream on Crunchyroll this winter, continuing the story that captured a global audience. The event also premiered the full trailer for Daemons of the Shadow Realm, an adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa’s manga. The series will arrive on Crunchyroll in April 2026.

In addition, Crunchyroll announced a slate of upcoming series. A Gentle Noble’s Vacation receives its first localization, while Isekai Office Worker blends accounting with fantasy adventure. Fans also received a sneak peek of Kunon the Sorcerer and a preview of The Daily Life of a Single 29‑Year‑Old Adventurer. Each title adds depth to the platform’s growing library.

Crunchyroll manga app Launch

Most importantly, Crunchyroll introduced the Crunchylimit manga app for the United States and Canada. The service offers hundreds of titles from Alphapolis, COMPASS, Square Enix, VIZ Media, and Yen Press. Users can read on mobile phones or tablets and even download chapters for offline use. A web version will launch on October 15, expanding access for desktop readers. The app is included with the Ultimate Fan membership, and add‑on options exist for other premium plans. Because the platform syncs reading progress across devices, fans can start a chapter on a phone and finish it on a tablet without losing their place.

Special Events and Collaborations

Beyond streaming news, the showcase featured a surprise appearance by Olympic champion Noah Lyles. He revealed an Adidas‑powered Crunchyroll collaboration that blends sport and anime culture. The partnership sparked excitement at Booth 1653, where the Crunchyroll Store displayed limited‑edition merchandise. Moreover, the event hosted panels for Fire Force Season 3 Part 2, a Dan Da Dan English dub cast discussion, and a TRIGUN STARGAZE world premiere with creator commentary.

Film acquisition expands Crunchyroll’s movie lineup

Crunchyroll secured worldwide theatrical rights for the fantasy film That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea. The movie, produced by studio 8‑Bit, follows Rimuru and friends on a resort island adventure. Crunchyroll will release the film with Sony Pictures Entertainment, and theatrical dates will be announced soon.

What to Expect Next

Finally, Crunchyroll teased several upcoming series that will join the platform later this year. Titles such as A Gentle Noble’s Vacation, Isekai Office Worker, and The Beginning After the End Season 2 promise fresh stories for both anime lovers and manga readers. As the schedule rolls out, the Crunchyroll manga app will continue adding new chapters, keeping the library fresh and engaging.

In short, the NYCC showcase confirmed that Crunchyroll is expanding its reach across video and print media. Whether you stream the latest season of Oshi No Ko or read the newest manga on the Crunchyroll manga app, the platform offers more ways than ever to enjoy your favorite Japanese content.
