Canelo vs. Crawford: Netflix to Stream Historic Boxing Match Live
When two pound-for-pound legends face off, history is made. On Saturday, Sept. 13, Netflix will stream the highly anticipated Canelo vs. Crawford fight live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. This monumental event features Mexico’s Saúl “Canelo” Álvarez (62-2-2, 39 KOs) taking on the undefeated American champion Terence “Bud” Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs).
For the first time, a fight of this magnitude will be included with every Netflix plan at no extra cost. Netflix announced the bout alongside His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, Chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, as well as Sela and TKO’s Dana White.

Canelo Álvarez’s record and legacy
Canelo enters the ring with one of boxing’s most decorated careers. He currently holds the WBC, WBA, and WBO super middleweight titles. His most recent win came against William Scull on May 3, where he reclaimed his undisputed championship status.
The Guadalajara native has also defeated top names like Edgar Berlanga and Jaime Munguía. With 66 professional fights and only two losses — to Dmitry Bivol and Floyd Mayweather — Canelo remains one of the sport’s most dominant figures.
“I’m super happy to be making history again, and this time it will be broadcast on Netflix,” said Álvarez. “On Sept. 13, I’m ready to show once again that I am the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.”
Terence Crawford’s perfect record
Crawford, currently ranked No. 2 pound-for-pound by ESPN, is the only male boxer in history to become an undisputed champion in two different weight divisions during the four-belt era. Born in Omaha, Nebraska, he has ruled multiple weight classes — from lightweight to junior welterweight, and most recently, junior middleweight.
His landmark win over Errol Spence Jr. in 2023 cemented his legacy. In his most recent outing, Crawford captured the WBA and WBO junior middleweight titles by defeating Israil Madrimov.
Now, he’s moving up to 168 pounds to face Canelo.
“My perfect record speaks for itself,” Crawford said. “I am the best fighter in the world, and no matter the opponent or weight class, I have always come out on top.”
