One of two competing Peter Pan films has a little surprise- the hero isn’t Peter Pan, it’s Captian Hook- and Aaron Eckhart is going to play the iconic pirate. Monsters and Critics gives us the details:
The film, which is being sold at the Cannes Film Festival in France this week, will team Aaron, 43, with Sean Bean as crime fighters Hook and Smee on the hunt for a criminal Peter Pan.
Wendy will be played by AnnaSophia Robb in director Ben Hibon’s film, titled Pan.
YES. You heard that right. Peter Pan is the bad apple this time. Wonder what that makes the old crocodile. Family pet? Anyway, this sounds like a great twist and the more interesting of the two projects. How do you like your Hook?

Isn’t this going to be quite a dark retelling? Peter Pan being a kid napper/peadophile who abducts Wendy?
All this is a bit weird, if you ask me, Hook is like the ultimate villain, how can they exactly spin it that Peter pan, becomes the bad guy?
