People Magazine has reported actor Chris Klein officially signed on for the sequel “American Reunion.” Klein will reprise his role as Chris “Oz” Ostreicher. Klein’s rep Jaime Primak told People Magazine that he is “very excited to reunite with the original cast.”

He’s one of the few men that I’ve seen become famous/attractive to women for being an on-screen wimp sensitive guy. Impressive. Now all we need is confirmation of the M.I.L.F. and her apprentice and I’ll be primed and ready for theater night.

  1. “Suck me beautiful”
“My friends call me nova… as in casanova”

Oz was as good in the first American Pie film as any of the others, I found it strange and a little annoying they never explained why he wasn’t in American Wedding, all it needed was a mention that he was unable to make it… nevermind.

I don’t think this film would be worth making unless they were all back for it (wouldn’t be much of a reunion otherwise) so this is great news!

  2. Well, my interest in seeing this movie just officially plummeted. I really don’t understand why people keep casting Chris Klein. The guy can barely act and his voice grates on my nerves. Plus, his character in American Pie and American Pie 2 was completely worthless. Those movies could have been so much better without him in them.

    1. So, before this announcement, you were all for seeing this movie, titled “American Reunion”, which implies that everyone who was involved with the original would be in it, but now that Chris Klein is involved you’re dissatisfied because he’s the worst out of the bunch?

I was actually kind of shocked that he was the only character not returning in American Wedding, and thought his being there would’ve made the trilogy (at the time) feel more complete. Pointless character or not, he’s still one of the core four, and who knows? Maybe this time around he’ll have a more fleshed out story to tell.
