Weekend Boxoffice Report February 18th-20th

The Top 5 this week look to all settle in within about $4million of each other representing a nice spread of films for a number of demographics. But in the end of the weekend it looked like Unknown grabbed the top spot.

BoxOffice Mojo has the estimates:

Unknown – $21,770,000 – Opening
I Am Number Four – $19,400,000 – Opening
Gnomeo and Juliet – $19,238,000 – 2wks
Just Go With It – $18,496,000 – 2wks
Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son – $16,250,000 – Opening

I am eager to see I am Number Four, and being a holiday here in most of Canada (a made up Family Day) I will likely catch that tonight.

Other honourable mentions, after its second week, and up against a $13m Budget, Justin Beiber’s Never Say Never just missed the Top 5 with $13m.

And of course the King’s Speech is still holding on strong at number Seven with $6m more to add to its tally after 13 weeks in release.

What did you see this weekend?

    1. It’s not that far out. It is still in the sixth spot on its second week. Compared to its $13m budget it has already raked in over $50million.

Thats a qualified success. Hardly worth the suggestive bile you fling at it.

You don’t have to like the artist to recognize his successes. I don’t particularly care for him, but I don’t hate him either. There is no reason to hate on something that has no impact on me.
