Halloween 2 Synopsis Online

The official synopsis of Rob Zombie’s Halloween 2 (or H2) is out and it does bear a strong resemblance to the original sequel. It also bears a strong resemblance to any slasher flick ever made.

Movies Online offers:

It’s that time of year again, and Michael Myers has returned home to sleepy Haddonfield, Illinois to take care of some unfinished family business. Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can, Myers will stop at nothing to bring closure to the secrets of his twisted past. But the town’s got an unlikely new hero, if they can only stay alive long enough to stop the unstoppable

The slasher flick is typically light on story and heavy on the gore, so I expect nothing more from a Halloween film, and I expect nothing less from Rob Zombie.

I didn’t mind the first Zombie Halloween film, and I can appreciate that he is trying to make it his own. Many purists argue that revealing too much of Myers motivations humanizes him and makes him less of a supernatural force of nature that earned him “The Shape”. But honestly, if they didn’t do something different, then why call it a reboot. He could have just made Halloween 9 and 10 and just continue the monotonous rampage of brutal teen slayings.

  1. I simply cannot wait for this movie to come out!!!!! From the look of the synopsis and all the gore! I have full confidence in Rob Zombie to bring us the best horror film of 2009!

  2. ” Unleashing a trail of terror that only horror master Rob Zombie can”

You gota be fucking kidding me…

Who the hell calls Rob Zombie a Master of Horror? There are masters of horror but Rob “Makesnosense” Zombie isn’t even close to being one of them. sure hes got the gore and the horrible filters and poorly made effects for his movie, but god damn it he lacks in good story telling that puts you on the edge of your seat.

please Rob GO BACK TO SINGING!!!!

also did anyone else laugh at the first one when BustaRhymes came in?

  3. Ehhh, the first was neat, but do we really need a sequel? I mean are we just going to do the same thing over again, make 7 more squeals than let the series die?

  4. I just watched Zombie’s first Haloween remake, and if you look there are some subtle plot elements going on. Zombie seems to be exploring the nature vs. nurture debate. If you notice even though Laurie is raised by an adoptive family she displays the Meyers’ overt sexuality. If Zombie explores more of this in the sequel with Laurie’s latent violence, I think it will be worth it.

  5. I liked what he did with the first one. The cameo’s were great, Kenforr and Brad douif, atleast Rob can bring some of horror’s most beloved actors to the table.

  6. I never really cared for the original or subsequent sequals, I thought it was interesting, but hate how they turn an ordinary person into a force of nature-that’s taking the easy way out. I feel the same way about jason, but krugger is okay, because it makes sense…but i also like the first night at the museum. so there is no real accounting for taste.
I really enjoyed zombie’s first halloween and am very interested in this one as well.

    1. That they became a force of nature is what makes them able to get away with what they did.

Thats the whole point of the story. If they did not become a force of nature (dreamworld/undead/super powered) there would be no movie.

    2. they didn’t start out that way. they were regular people, but of course if they want to make crappy sequal after crappy sequal…

    3. So you didn’t see it in theaters, you still saw it.

And lots of people do. The point is that you and others all cry “why do they do remakes” and “why do they do sequels” and whine about it like you think you know better.

But if people never went to them, they wouldnt make them.

By supporting ANY reboot or sequel, you tell Hollywood that you would be open to seeing other reboots and sequels.

So until people boycott all movie sequels and reboots/remakes. They will still keep making them. Because you clearly watch them.

    4. i’m talking about how they take a great idea and ruin it in the sequels by making them a force of nature and what zombie is doing, i think, is making mikey human, who was scarier, freddy kruger or richard ramirez?

    5. When I said they were humanizing him, was just to say that they were applying human nature to The Shape.

After the first movie and he failed to die, he became a force of nature.

Freddy was human and became a force of nature.

Its part of the slasher mythos.

    1. “Chuck Norris”

      That’s hilarious, Brandon.
      On the downside?

Someone in Hollywierd might take you seriously, say HELL YA
and before you know it, we get another remake….

      Silent Rage.

Hey int’l friends. You KNOW it’s just a matter of time.
