Shia LaBoeuf Returns to Transformers Set

Shia LaBeouf’s injuries after a Hollywood car accident that tipped his pickup on its side seem to be healing at an accelerated rate, and the star has returned to the set of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen about 2 weeks ahead of schedule.

MovieWeb heard:

LaBeouf and his passenger/co-star Isabel Lucas were involved in an early morning car accident on July 27 when another driver ran a red light in Los Angeles. LaBeouf, who received an injury to his hand, underwent surgery and is recovering. He was not expected to return to work for 30 days, but it appears LaBeouf is ready to resume filming.

I am sure Shia is a little sore still or the reports of how serious his injuries are were exaggerated.

I was encouraged that Shia’s absence didn’t worry the Transformers team at all. They expected him to be out of commission for 30 days and their response was along the lines of: This is a movie about giant fucking robots. We’re busy without him.

Interesting that news of his return to work doesn’t bring up the court date for his suspected drunk driving charge. Even if he wasn’t responsible for the accident, police said it was obvious he was intoxicated at the scene and laid charges.

Well with or without him, the movie is still on track.

  1. I just saw Shia on David Letterman before Indy came out. They were talking about getting drunk and stuff. I thought…sheesh that is pretty bad now with his drunk driving. I went back and read the news about what happened.

Turns out he WAS NOT INTOXICATED. Another driver ran a red light and made him flip his truck. He was not drunk according to reports nor will face any charges. His fingers were crushed in the accident.

LoL. It’s funny how fast an actor’s name can be slandered and false accusations can be created. This and the Christian Bale story. It’s pretty said. I guess I’m just now learning a lot of what I read is complete bullshit. It’s sad when sites, such as this one…at times which sux…., can post news like this and then not post the facts later on and admit their original posts were incorrect.

If I hadn’t gone back and read for myself the facts my opinion of Shia as a person would of been pretty terrible and most likely would of effect whether I care to see him in a movie or not. That’s just how it is.

  2. No BAC reported what so ever. So if you had a beer (now remember one beer smells the same as 12 beers when you have been drinking) and you are in a terrible accident like that (requiring extensive surgery) isnt possible to think that you might be acting a little off when authorities show up. They smell alcohol and assume the worst? I mean cops arent usually the most understand people at 3 in the morning in my experience whether you are right or wrong. Innocent till proven guilty.
