Bob Odenkirk Joins Son Of Mourning

OdenkirkWe have more news about Son Of Mourning for you to check out today thanks to our good friends over at the movieweb:

Jesse Bradford, Steven Weber, Bob Odenkirk and Edward Herrmann have boarded the satirical comedy Son of Morning. According to The Hollywood Reporter, producer-star Joseph Cross plays an ad copywriter who returns home to mediate his parents’ divorce and after a series of environmental disasters is mistaken for Jesus Christ.

He becomes surrounded by people trying to capitalize on his fame, including a Hollywood agent (Bradford) and a lieutenant governor (Weber). Odenkirk plays his co-worker, and Herrmann plays his father figure and mentor. Heather Graham, Lorraine Bracco, Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Stephen Root also star.

We first dished about this film when Heather Graham was brought on board. Today the premise gets fleshed out just a bit more and I must say that it’ s shaping up very nicely. This picture looks like it will be rediculous to the nth degree and I’m anxious to see what dark direction they take this comedy.

The addition of Bob Odenkirk has raised my expectations for this film even higher and I will certainly be keeping my ears to the tracks for further news.

Here is a clip of Odenkirk interviewing Dana Snyder that makes me piss my pants. Enjoy!

  1. I’ve noticed that Tim Curry is no longer listed as one of the cast for this movie on IMDb or within this article. Do you know if he has left the project or not? If yes, do you know why, and is Bob Odenkirk replacing him?
