Jerome sent me this new Pirates of the Caribbean 3 pic earlier today. Nice! This is the first picture I’ve seen of Chow Yun Fat (if that is indeed him… I think it’s him… it looks like him… I’m going to sound like an idiot, which wouldn’t be the first time, if it’s not him) in his Pirates of the Caribbean 3 outfit.
This pic has some serious acting talent in it. Geoffrey Rush, Johnny Depp and the aforementioned Chow Yun Fat. Man, I hope we get to see Fat kcik some serious ass Hard Boiled style. I also hope this one is better than POTC 2. Don’t get me wrong, I liked POTC 2 quite a bit, but it was also a bit of a let down after the first brilliant film. But so far so good… everything I’ve seen and heard looks positive so far.

Chow is his surname, which chinese people put in front of their names. So Chow Yun Fat it is.
I think his name is Yun-Fat Chow, and not Chow Yun Fat :)

I’m also not sure if that is him :S but Yun-Fat’s character will be Captain Sao Feng
and my question is: will there be a fourth film?? because i feel there is so much story to tell like the arc about the Sao Feng etc.. and the not concluded arc of Dead Man’s Chest.

ok i guess i just dont see why people have to see any of the first 2 i saw the first on and i just didnt care for it…..johnny depp is a good actor but i just thought that some of the other stuff was kinda dull….now i havnt seen part 2 but from what i hear ….i must suck cause i havnt seen it….well F it then i suck and i dont really want to see it…………pffft
I don’t know why I didn’t realize this until now but can you imagine the ultimate showdown. You know a battle for the ages, the battle of the Captins. I mean Chow Yun Fat against Johnny Depp against Geoffrey Rush against Bill Nighy. OMFG that would be incredible and imagine this battle being fought off in Asia. Or if they have a 4 way ship battle or something. THen while thats going on the British Navy is fighting them all or the Pirates decide to fight against the Navy as one. I mean the possibilities are endless.

This has the “too many characters” syndrome going on for me. They’re not gonna have time for all the shit that has to get wrapped up in this flick.

I was more letdown by that movie than Matrix: Reloaded, and that was a big letdown
But more to the point, Fat can do nothing but elevate this project.

I noticed that photo about 3 days ago and it does look like it will be better than POTC2 (well at least it had better be!)
I got the DVD as a gift…have to say the extras were a bit dissapointing…I expected a little better. I haven’t noticed any deleteds…but I could have missed them.
