  1. Yup have to agree… one sexy guy and one great interview. Have watched all Jason’s films and he DOES have screen presence and typical tongue in cheek British humour added to his characters…absoultely LOVE him. For something very different watch CRANK!!

  2. That’s the funniest ‘interview’ I’ve seen since Kevin Smith interviewed Ben Affleck on the DVD extras on ‘Jersey Girl’ (which is truly classic! see it if you haven’t).

  3. i reckon he is the next big action star he has been in some good cheesy action movies like transporter 2 which i loved the action ruled in it he was good in lock stock i really like him as a actor and he is funny as hell in this he just has the right charm

  4. I agree with what other posters have said; it does look a little samey, but: Chev Chelios is an anagram of Shove Cliche! Let’s hope that’s the sentiment the movie makers had in mind.

  5. Well, it’s past due for me to chime in.

Despite Vinnie Jones and Dennis Farina, I was not a big fan of ‘Snatch’. At first, I had mixed feelings on “The Transporter”, but have come to enjoy it in all of it’s goofy action. I loved the action scenes in ‘Transporter 2″. And of course, I thought he was really good in “Celluar” and “The Italian Job”. Despite “Ghosts Of Mars”, I even hope he works with John Carpenter again someday.

I am looking forward both to ‘Crank” and the “Job” sequel; I hope there’s a third “Transporter” film in the works as well. I don’t mind his bit cameos, whether it is “Pink Panter” or “Collateral”. Man, Jason’s in just about everything -!

And yes, this segment made me laugh my ass off.

And if Jason ever did a comic book related film? Deadpool….or Deadshot.

  6. Okay, I had to follow the MovieBlogTV link from your sidebar because the video link isn’t there for me in my EI. Something to do with overlays and embedded video clips. The never work for me on any page I go to anymore, so now I have to goggle between three different browsers to get shit to play. It’s not you, it’s me. It’s a setting I have turned on or off in my computer. I’m sure of it. No need to panic, John. OH, btw, our plant, Basil, is thriving in case you’re wondering. :-)

  7. That was a pretty fun interview at least Statham has a personality. I have to disagree with staurt@cinemablend and Sean on this one, I think Statham’s films are fun for what they are, as cheesy action goes they make good popcorn, not the kind of things I would give pride of place in my DVD collection (Or buy in the first place), but entertaining stuff to rent and kill time with.

  8. I can’t get this to work, which I think is the fault of this new computer they’ve given me here in the workhouse, but I’m glad we finally have somewhere to talk about Crank.

Um, it looks good. Jason Statham’s action films are pretty damn stupid, but they’re also entertaining as hell. He’s got this great ability to play characters who should come off as arrogant dicks, but he makes them likeable. He’s the English Bruce Willis!

  9. I’ve liked him since Snatch. Great screen presence. I even liked him in Transporter 2, even though the Audi jump seen was fricken ridiculous. The rest of the movie wasn’t bad though!

  10. Well, that was an interesting “interview” if I ever saw one. If nothing more, proves that the guy has a great sense of humour! I was already looking forward to this movie and this just makes me more excited. WOOHOO!

  11. Crank is going to be a very entertaining movie; I just hope the movie is as good as the trailer – it’s gonna be very hard to keep a full length movie always fast-paced like it was in the trailer.

  12. Wait… Is this going to be another one of your iTunes audio thingies? I can’t get them. I haven’t heard your audio posts in so long. This isn’t fair!!! I love Jason Statham. He’s the only name on my freebie five, so I guess Joe will have to let me fuck Jason’s brains out five different times. Whoo!!

I know, I know – you don’t want to hear about it, right? Sorry, everyone. :-)
