The news is out about Serenity on DVD. I caught the information through Movies Online who sourced it from DVD Times. So without further ado, let me just leap into the specifications:

It’s looking like a December 20th release date, just in time for Christmas, I can see this popping onto my friend Martin’s wishlist as of close of play today! I guess it will be falling on a lot of wishlists around the world. The only things I can see missing here are a DTS track and a full cast commentary, both would make this something really special. Still, I think it might turn out a good DVD, and these are only the initially released specs.
What are your thoughts? Anything missing you’d like to see?
Unlikely. As with the TV show the vast majority of the people who saw Serenity really loved it. Alas not nearly enough people watched either.
Does anyone know if Joss Wheadon will bring back the show to TV?
-i really hope so cause firefly was absolutly amazing…really liked it

No but how can you say a film is great, and that this film is considered great? (well at least by you) What are you basing it on? I am really interested to know.
You would not understand Simone, you were too busy playing with your mobile phone during the film remember?
Can’t wait to pick this up. I agree that it would’ve been nice to have commentary from the cast in addition to Joss, but I’ll take a Whedon commentary over nothing.
If there is an extended edition make it part of this release. A branching option with the deleted scenes included vs the theatrical cut should be part of the package as well.
Ooh, shiny.
Morbius, where did you get great?
Serenity was a great film so I am really looking forward to getting hold of it on DVD.
