Pulse (Kairo) American trailer

Kairo.jpgI caught this on Twitch a few days ago and thought I would post it. This is the final release of the American trailer for Pulse, or Kairo as it’s called in it’s home country. Here’s the blurb from IMDB:

After one of their friends commits suicide, strange things begin happening to a group of young Tokyo residents. One of them sees visions of his dead friend in the shadows on the wall, while another’s computer keeps showing strange, ghostly images. Is their friend trying to contact them from beyond the grave, or is there something much more sinister going on?

I’d seen this movie some time ago and it is very spooky and there are some incredibly haunting scenes. The story is a bit difficult to follow, and the plot doesn’t always seem to be in the foreground, but it does deliver in the scary and creepiness categories. I would recommend a watch of this one.

Catch the trailer in large Quicktime or small Quicktime and let us know what you think.

  1. This movie is very haunting in my opinion but its not for everyone. I went with my father and i found him asleep for 2 thirds of it but he was expecting a BOO for every scare. This movie haunts you with its atmosphere and cinematography. It gives you a dark eerie feeling when your in the movie thearter.

  2. i find all the japanese versions of the ring, the grudge and dark water proper scary. but the amercian verions arent that scary. Japanese people realy know how to make scary movies.

  3. I loved A Tale of 2 Sisters. Pulse is also a very good movie, but done in a different style (and a bit more confusing). It WILL give you the creeps, trust me :) There are some unbeliveably well done scenes in the movie – some involving ghosts, a suicide scene, the apocalyptic scenery towards the end… it’s a really great movie.

  4. Movies such as The Ring, Ju-On (the Japanese version of The Grudge), and Dark Water(Japanese version again) only really scare me once. But the movie that gets me every time and I won’t watch alone is the South Korean movie A Tale Of Two Sisters.

    …………..

The Pulse trailer didn’t really give me the creeps, but I can never judge a movie by it’s trailer.
