Well… the time has come. The final installment of the Star Wars Saga opens tonight at just after midnight. I can’t believe this will be the last time I go to stand in line at a Star Wars film. How sad.
Yes, i did already see Revenge of the Sith (you can read my review here), but going all the way back to Empire Strikes Back (when my aunt Pina took me), I’ve been to see every Star Wars film on opening day… and for the prequels I’ve been there for each midnight showing (I even drove 3000 kilometers from Saskatoon to Hamilton to catch the premiere of Phantom Menace). Tonight will be no exception for me. This has become a tradition.
So what about you? Are you going to the midnight show tonight? Going to wait for the weekend?

i really wanted to like it, but with in 5min i knew it was going to be bad.
well, out of our group of 5 ,2 loved it, 2 hated it, and one said it was better than the last movie.

I’d go to a midnight showing but I didn’t pre-order tickets in time.
I’ll be seeing it tommorow at 10:30 AM Eastern U.S. Time, and I’m praying every five minutes that there won’t be any babies.
Enjoy it, people – I think a lot of you are going to get one huge, lovely kick out of this movie.
Oh, and apparently Lucas is planning on re-releasing them in 3-D in a few years time (one of the only interesting things to come out of the press conference the other day). Which is nice for him.
I am inside the VUE Cinema in Islington as I’m typing this waiting for the next 15 minutes when the film comes out. The cinema is teeming with the FORCE as proof of the fans beaming faces. I may be on my own, but I dont feel alone at all. I suddenly feel like a part of me will die tonight, and I am glad to have been a part of it all. Enjoy the film everybody!

I really wanted to go to the midnight showing, but to keep with tradition of watching these prequels with my daughter (she’s 9 and wouldn’t last at a midnight showing) I’m waiting till morning.
9:30 am she, my cousin, my mom and youngest brother will watch the movie together as we all have with the last two.
I know I wouldn’t be able to sleep tonight.
I’m going to the midnight showing too with my brother. I can’t wait!! Star wars is part of my life. I’ve seen the prequels too many times to count and of course R2D2 is my favorite character closely followed by Amigdala’s outfits. (praise be to the designers)

Star Wars. How do we know a diference between a dictator like Bush, comparing him as the creepy Palpadine after all these years. Amazing for Lucas, maybe a republican… but knows where for 30 years he made his final chapter to the great saga. Thanks Luca and may the force be with you!

Ohhhhhhhhhh!!! It is here indeed! I am out midnight. It’s also my first and last midnight screening.
