The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy Website Up And Running

Hitchhikers_poster.jpgRight after Sin City, Batman Begins and more than any other Revenge of the Sith, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy is probably the film I’m most looking forward to catching over the next couple of months. Not exactly sure what it’s all about… well… you’re not alone.

Here’s as good of a short synopsis as your going to find on it:

Seconds before the Earth is demolished to make way for a galactic freeway, Arthur Dent is plucked off the planet by his friend Ford Prefect, a researcher for the revised edition of the The Hitch Hiker’s Guide to the Galaxy who, for the last fifteen years, has been posing as an out of work actor.

Together this dynamic pair begin their journey through space aided by quotes from The Hitch Hiker’s Guide: “A towel is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitchhiker can have”

At any rate, the official website for the movie is now online. You can go check it out here.

  2. Heh – some good and some bad memories, Simone. :)
One thing that boyfriend was good for was introducing me to movies I probably wouldn’t have watched, comics and a few book series. All priceless.

  3. I’m hoping the movie will be as fun the novel, which I need to read again.
My high school boyfriend introduced me to it and I remember it as one of the most fun books I read at that time.

  4. I wouldnt have heard of this novel if not for my Filipino-American cousin who brought it with him when he went to the UK for holidays last year. Didnt even realize it was a British writer who penned it until I got myself a copy of the book which I am now trying to finish.

Since I have heard of a film adaptation last year all the more so that I became really, really excited about it.
