Well, I guess deep down we all knew this was going to happen. It appears a documentary on Lord of the Rings fans is coming our way entitled Ringers: Lord of the Fans. I fear it will follow in the exact same footsteps as other “fan-centric” documentaries that focus on Star Wars fans (of whom I am king) and Star Trek fans. It will make us all out to look like geeks… well… ok, I AM a geek, but that’s totally besides the point.
Ug, I’m sick of these things. Poking at us in good fun, like Triumph the Insult Comic Dog did in his little report about people in line for Attack of the Clones, can be really funny and enjoyable. But when these film makers try to do a “serious” piece and make us out to look like people with social problems… well I just get a little ticked off. Alright, enough of my ranting.
Eeeeeerrrrrrr… the movie is made by geeks like us, so I don’t think is going to make fun of us.
It might be a good idea to watch the film first, maybe?
You know what would be great? If you saw the film Ringers: Lord of the Fans before you decide both the content and quality of it. Have you been privledged to a viewing the rest of the world has not?
