Matt Damon returns to his most iconic role in Jason Bourne. Paul Greengrass, the director of The Bourne Supremacy and The Bourne Ultimatum, once again joins Damon for the next chapter of Universal Pictures’ Bournefranchise, which finds the CIA’s most lethal former operative drawn out of the shadows.
For Jason Bourne, Damon is joined by Alicia Vikander, Vincent Cassel and Tommy Lee Jones, while Julia Stiles reprises her role in the series. Frank Marshall again produces alongside Jeffrey Weiner for Captivate Entertainment, and Greengrass, Damon, Gregory Goodman and Ben Smith also produce. Based on characters created by Robert Ludlum, the film is written by Greengrass and Christopher Rouse.
YES! This was my favorite spy series for a while and I’m thrilled to see the return of Matt Damon to the franchise. Now some may think that this film is beating a dead horse, (which may be true), but there’s potential for a lot of entertainment in this movie. One thing I felt that this series excelled at was the car chase sequences. To this day I believe that the first Jason Bourne film has the BEST car chase sequence in the last 2 decades. This film looks to continue that tradition and up the excitement a bit by plowing cars off the road in the process!
Other than that I like seeing Tommy Lee Jones as the latest director of Treadstone (?) to get killed try to track down Jason Bourne. You should already know why if you’re reading this. Also, Julia Styles is getting in on the action! I think that’s pretty awesome too.
This movie isn’t just on the ‘radar’, it’s in the upper echelons.
