Mr. Big Signs For Sex And The City Movie

Noth-SexWhen money and the realization that they’ll never be as famous or hot as they were on the show kicked in for the former stars of Sex and the City, a deal was finally struck for the movie version… even after a couple of the cast members had previously said they’d never do it. Funny how that works. Hell… for the right price I’d do “Romatic Touching In Cell Block 4” with Chris Tucker. But I digress.

One of the questions I’ve heard a few fans of the show ask recently was “What about Mr. Big”? I don’t know much about Mr. Big (since I didn’t watch the show) other than the fact that he was played by Chris Noth and we apparently the main love interest for Sarah Jessica Parker’s character. Well, wonder no more SATC fans. Looks like Mr. Big is on board. Yahoo News gives us this:

Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big’s happily ever after (or lack thereof) will play out on the big screen. After weeks of speculation, Chris Noth has closed a deal to reprise his iconic character from “Sex and the City” in the upcoming feature based on the hit HBO series.

The article also goes on to say that filming for the movie is set to start in September (provided of course that the lead girls don’t start their in fighting once more delaying filming yet again).

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… this movie will be quite big. No, not $300 million big… but it will do quite well. I personally know about 6 women who will probably see this thing 4 times regardless if it’s any good or not.

  1. The best male character in the whole freakin’ series, Big HAD to be in it… Now, if only the movie won’t suck, then maybe it could lead to other things for these people… HA, who am I kidding. These people should thank their lucky stars this is getting made. Well, except for Kristen Davis. I have a role for her as my wife…

  2. no way there will be an original spin on this like a lot of ladies i’ve talked to about this with think now that Noth is in. it’ll be the same old schlep.

  3. A crushing blow. The TV series annoyed me so much, I literally couldn’t find a single thing to like about it, and now Hollywood has handed out money for there to be a film? I can only hope this is going to be a straight-to-DVD thing. I certainly won’t be seeing it and I know of nobody who would.
