Batman On Cover Of French Magazine

I’m in Los Angeles at the moment so I’m a little behind on things, and about 20 different people have emailed me to tell me about this new Batman image gracing the cover of a french movie magazine called CineLive.

Personally, I really like the shot. I’ve always liked the new Batman outfit ever since we saw the first shots of it a few months ago. It’s a little busy, but it seems to work for me.

  1. The new batsuit looks cool. On a related note, I watched Batman Begins over the weekend – for the first time since it hit theaters. It was better than I remembered.

So now I’m a little more warm to ‘The Dark Knight’.

  2. thx Kristina.

I’m going to see I Am Legend anyway. Just wanted to make sure if it was playing in IMAX or everywhere. I read it would only being showing the clip in IMAX by my brother told me everywhere…stupid liar he is.

  3. But now that I think about it, maybe the suit will look different onscreen where the film takes place mainly at night. This still is all lit up, but the film is considerably darker. We’ll see. I didn’t like the last suit either at first, but I got used to it. That will probably be the case here as well.

  4. I like the suit but still not as much as the first one. Far too busy imo, not just a little…way too much. As I’ve whined before. Too many straps and pieces especially the chest. The batsign is lost in that big indent. They shoulda made the chest just a solid piece. I think the head looks kinda out of place too…its too solid and black compared to the rest of the suit. It looks like the old suit’s mask stuck onto some new body. I hope this suit is kind of a transition to a final suit…as if he were improving it from movie to movie.

But I could careless in the long run. So much of this movie I’m looking forward to to be stuck on mildly not being happy with the suit is nothing to get hung up on. I still can’t wait.

  5. You’re right the suit is a tad busy. The area that seems to have too much is around the chest, the bat symbol seems to disappear too much.

I do like the fact they made it look like armor rather than just a rubber suit. Also, the neck area is the biggest improvement that should have been made a long time ago. All the other batman movies they couldn’t even look down because it was all one solid piece. My only hope for this movie…less shakey cam and more emphasis on Batman’s skills as a detective and martial artist.
