  1. Did you guys vote for The People’s Choice Awards? You can vote at http://www.pcavote.com if you haven’t already. I work with The People’s Choice Community and voted today. I think Johhny Depp will definitely win the favorite male movie star award. We will see what happens during the show. This year the winners are chosen solely by online voting so make your vote count!

  2. These awards …are pointless. I look at this list, and now I confess I owe the MTV movie awards a sincere apology. It’s one thing to say you are adored by your fans and be singled out…but you would think that would account into box office hits and whatnot.

I agree with this being the Johnny Depp show; nobody else even comes close in these categories. How about actors and actresses who have APPEARED in at least one or two films in the past year that audiences go ape over? Aside from Depp, there is Denzel Washington, but aside from those two, there is NO ONE ELSE. I’m a big Sam Jackson fan. But who went to see ‘Snakes On A Plane’? No one. How many folks went to see ‘Freedomland’ earlier this year? Fewer still. Well, how about Brad Pitt?

What? The I Shot Jesse James movie hasn’t opened yet? He hasn’t been in any other pictures this year? Uma Thuman is a good actress, but was “Prime” an action movie?
Sandra Bullock, she’s so popular “Lake House” was a huge hit and …huh? What do you mean NOBODY went to see ‘Lake House”? It had to have been a good…hmm…what’s that? Those who did see ‘Lake House’ didn’t get it or thought it was lame? Well, she is up for a People’s Choice award!

Okay, X-3 and Halle Barry. I thought she was great. But it’s funny, because I could have sworn I was in the minority in this opinion.

You would think…that Hugh Jackman or Christian Bale would be in here, but they are not.
You would think…Racheal McAdams would be in here but she is not.
You would think…Jamie Foxx would be here, he is not.
We could go on and on.

This popularity contest is a joke. A bad, sick joke that mostly honors celebs that have either didn’t do anything in the past year, or have done medicore work in the past year.

But this isn’t the worst of it.
    Hell, no.

What I like is those who are “nominated” and know ahead of time that they didn’t win, but show up because they just want to mingle, party, have a good time etc. What I hate is those who “win” and know ahead of time that they won, And don’t bother to show up in person, but either have someone accept on thier behalf or accept via sat broadcast.

    The irony.
    Think it over.

  3. Kristina, no matter how many times you comment on Dunst looking like Billy Corgan I still laugh. Seriously though that girl needs to get some acting lessons!

    I hate these awards.
