  1. The hot actor to look at this year is Johnathan Rhys Meyers. He is the star in the new Woody Allen film MatchPoint and also played Elvis, in all out Elvis style and is nominated for a globe for it. He deserves it big time. This fellow is going to be the next big thing is the buzz in the bizz. The Tom or Bradd of the future but in a dif way and style. Who else can fill the shoes of the GREAt Evlis presley but this actor, the answer way nobody. They would not take anyone else good site is jrmfansfrozenwithin.com or jrmfans. Jsut a tip off for ya.

  2. Kinda disappointed with these nominations. Especially with the television nominations.

There are way more deservable nominations for ‘Television Series-Musical or Comedy’

‘Everybody Loves Chris’?!!! I understand its Chris Rock but there’s 10 other shows like it.

Then they got ‘My Name is Earl’. That’s just a disappointment.

Of course ‘Desperate Housewives’ got nominated. That’s a no brainer since the critics went crazy over it but that doesn’t mean its any good.

Got a question though, what’s so great about two gay guys going at it? Kinda gross. Brockback Mountain may be somethin’ new but that doesn’t mean its great.

  3. Golden Globe are fixed.

Anyways, whoever said that heath ledger is going to win best actor is wrong. PSH is way better, and a better actor. However, the Golden Globes aer fixed.

Also, why isn’t capote up on Best Picture?

It deserved to be up there more then Brockback Mountain. I mean BM is just an average crappy love movie. I don’t care if it’s a gay romace, it’s still a crappy love movie. That’s what no one understands. If it was a guy and a girl then Critics wouldn’t like it all. For example, if I made a big budget film about WW2 and two soldiers are gay lovers, I’d win all sorts of awards. That’s how stupid the system is. It pisses the hell out of me.

Anyways so far in the year here are the best films that I’ve seen.

    1. Capote

    2. Sin City

I’m going to see Good Night and good luck soon, and History of Violence. So many bad movies this year. A lot of mediocre ones.

  4. what are the big ‘best picture’ snubs – Cinderella Man? Crash? (I hated Crash, but expected it to be nominated since it was made so much of a big deal by the press)

the big snub overall is Arrested Development in the TV categories… or were they available for nomination? i dont know if theres specific time periods or if maybe they didnt submit for consideration or something…

either way, it doesnt matter to me. The Golden Globes are shit, and I dont mean that in the typical ‘test run Oscars’ way, but the whole deal with the Foreign Press Association and how people become/stay members, that organization is corrupt, and a complete joke.

  5. How retarded is it that they nominated the entire cast of desperate housewives? Is that a joke? Mary Louise Parker is a good choice though.

Looking at best actor for musical or comedy I see Peirce Brosnan for the Matador. That hasnt even come out yet I dont think, but I thought it was an action movie.

  6. Not necessarily who I’d vote for, but here are my predictions. I think Walk the Line will get a lot of votes. I have yet to see it. Overall I think the same three movies will pretty much dominate every category. I’m surprised there were no acting nominations for Munich.

  7. I like that Kelly macDonald and Bill Nighy got credit for ‘The Girl In The Cafe’. It was a little BBC Stephen Frears tv movie set during the G8 summit, very impressive. Nice to see a small production with a good motive(world poverty) get recognised at a major award ceremony.

Probably I’d agree with the rest too. Really looking forward to Good Night and Good Luck being released in the UK.
