Tyler Perry’s Ruthless Season 6 Sets June Premiere Date on Paramount+

Fans of Tyler Perry‘s Ruthless do not have to wait much longer for the show to return. The sixth season of the long-running drama is officially scheduled to debut on Paramount+ on June 30, 2026.

The streaming service will drop the first two episodes on the premiere date. Following the debut, the show will move to a weekly release schedule, with new episodes arriving every Tuesday. This rollout leads up to the season’s midseason finale on August 25, 2026.

What to Expect in Season 6

The new season returns to the Rakudushis compound as internal and external pressures mount. Ruth Truesdale finds herself in a position of increased influence over The Highest, but her rise to power creates significant friction within the organization. As the FBI intensifies its investigation into the cult, the group faces dangerous new conflicts both inside and outside the compound walls.

The series continues to be a staple of Perry’s television output. It currently maintains a strong 91 percent audience score on Rotten Tomatoes, proving that the spin-off of The Oval has maintained a dedicated following since its 2020 debut.

Returning Cast and Crew

Melissa L. Williams leads the returning cast, joined by Matt Cedeno and Baadja-Lyne Odums. The ensemble also features Blue Kimble, Colin McCalla, Michelle Núñez, Nadége August, and Joshua Adeyeye. Behind the scenes, Perry serves as an executive producer alongside Angi Bones, Tony L. Strickland, Will Areu, and Tommy Watt. Courtney Glaudé returns to the project as a writer, director, and supervising producer.

The return of Ruthless highlights the continued expansion of Perry’s content library on the platform. With the stakes higher than ever for the Rakudushis members, the upcoming season promises to deliver the high-tension confrontations that have defined the series.
