What We’re Hearing About Black Panther 3
According to Variety, ideas are percolating on a Ryan Coogler-helmed Black Panther 3, creating excitement internally. This could mean that Black Panther 3 will arrive sooner than fans are expecting. Currently, an untitled Marvel movie is scheduled to arrive in July 2027, but it’s unclear which movie will take that spot.
Plot details for Black Panther 3 remain under wraps, but Coogler has said that he’s creating a role for Denzel Washington in the film. It’s unclear who he might be playing. Shuri/Black Panther star Letitia Wright will be in Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives in December 2026 and is currently in production.
Meanwhile, there’s also an animated Black Panther show, titled Eyes of Wakanda, that will debut on Disney+ later this week. The show is executive produced by Coogler and features a voice cast that includes Winnie Harlow, Cress Williams, Patricia Belcher, Jona Xiao, Steve Toussaint, and more.
Final Thoughts
Both Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever are currently available to stream on Disney+, while all four episodes of Eyes of Wakanda will be released on August 1, 2025.
