A Dark Twist on the Classic Fairytale
The classic tale shows a wolf that threatens the pigs, as they frantically build a house out of straw, wood, and brick. The fairytale has been reimagined multiple times. The animation studio Foxymations has released a dark version of the story by imagining what the characters would do if they were part of a nightmare.

The new movie is taking a new approach. Rather than simply retelling the story with a horror-themed twist, it’s creating a narrative inspired by the imagery. The pigs become supernatural agents focused on vengeance, covering themes like greed, murder, and the consequences of being crossed.
The 3 Killer Pigs portrays the pigs as sinister predators. The plot revolves around human history and how livestock has to be protected at all times. Farmers have always relied on animals to support their livelihood, and losing them can threaten the survival of an entire family. Even though modern agriculture has changed this scenario, the pressure remains, making the premise grounded.
The film is the first in a planned group of projects. Partners Thomas J. Churchill and Aleksandra Zorich Hunt are releasing the movie under Church Hill / AZ Pure Productions. Guy Quigley’s ThunderSmoke Media Firm is the executive producer. Anaglyph Studios created the prosthetics for the movie, including character head moulds and weaponry. The studio has previously worked on the movie Burnout, and has extensive experience in special effects, including creative creature fabrication and SFX makeup.
A Farmer’s Tale
The 3 Killer Pigs movie follows a desperate farmer who has lost all of his livestock. He is driven to extremes and ends up killing another farmer before stealing the animals. The crime leads to a blood oath, as rather than solving all his problems, he finds that he then ends up dealing with killer pigs who return to the farmhouse where the murder happened, putting the residents of the town in complete darkness.
Churchill has described his project as a homage to Italian cinema, blending supernatural horror with some slasher-style elements. Robert Carradine stars in the leading role. The cast also includes Anson Williams, Brian Austin Green, and Robert LaSardo. The score for the movie has been composed by Marco Werba, and it’s out now.
Most of the filming took place in Los Angeles, and the director has released a behind-the-scenes look so that fans can get a sneak peek of what to expect. A movie premiere has also been held, but this was only open to a small group of people. Fans will have to wait until late 2026 for the full release.
