James Gunn’s upcoming Superman sequel Man of Tomorrow has started exterior filming in Atlanta, confirming the production’s progress. DC fan accounts posted video of film trucks and equipment being set up around Atlantic Station in the northwest section of Midtown. Set decoration spotted includes a Jitters Coffee sign. Shooting began about five weeks ago at nearby Trilith Studios in Fayetteville.

Earlier this week, actor Frank Grillo said he had finished filming his scenes in Atlanta, reprising his role as Frank Grillo Sr. He is expected to travel to the UK for additional shooting later in the schedule.
The film also stars David Corenswet as Clark Kent/Superman, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, Lars Eidinger as Brainiac, Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, Sara Sampaio as Eve Teschmacher, Isabela Merced as Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion as Guy Gardner, Edi Gathegi as Mister Terrific, Aaron Pierre as John Stewart, Matthew Lillard, Sinqua Walls and Adria Arjona as Maxima or Wonder Woman.
Production Timeline
The exterior shoot follows the recent start of Matt Reeves’ “The Batman Part II,” which began filming on Friday. New photos and video of the “Man of Tomorrow” cast are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
