Fans of Hunter x Hunter have reason to celebrate as the series is officially returning to the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump. The latest lineup for the magazine confirms that a new chapter from creator Yoshihiro Togashi will be included when the issue releases in Japan on June 29.
This upcoming release follows a significant gap for the manga, as the previous installment, chapter 410, was released on the VIZ Shonen Jump app back in December 2024. The return of the series arrives just before the publication of the next collected volume, volume 39, which is scheduled to hit shelves in Japan on July 3. This marks the first new volume release for the series in nearly two years.
A Legacy of Adventure
Togashi first launched the Hunter x Hunter manga in 1998. Over the decades, the story of Gon Freecss and his quest to become a legendary Hunter has grown into a massive franchise. The source material has inspired various adaptations, most notably two separate TV anime series produced in 1999 and 2011.
The enduring popularity of the series highlights the dedicated fanbase that has followed the journey of Gon, Leorio, and Kurapika since the late nineties. With the manga back in rotation, readers can look forward to seeing how the narrative continues to unfold following the events of chapter 410.
