The official site for the upcoming Sakamoto Days live action film posted fresh cast visuals today. Fans now see Mayuu Yokota as Lu Shaotang and Junki Tozuka as Heisuke Mashimo. The movie will hit Japanese theaters on April 29 2026.
Lu Shaotang Actress Mayuu Yokota Shares Her Joy
Mayuu Yokota steps into the role of Lu Shaotang, a tai chi practitioner who works at Sakamoto Shoten. In her own words, she says, “I feel the role is emotionally rich and sincere. I love action films and I was thrilled to join the Sakamoto Days film.” She adds that the part challenged her because it was her first time doing action scenes. Every day she practiced new moves and grew more confident. Heisuke Mashimo Actor Junki Tozuka Talks the Role
Junki Tozuka appears as Heisuke Mashimo, a skilled sniper who works with his bird partner Piisuke. He describes the film as a blend of character development, fight scenes, comedy, and family love. He says, “The visuals are cool and I have never seen Ren Meguro like this before.” Heisuke is a freelance assassin who cares deeply for his comrades.
