Amazon Prime Video has just announced a brand new opening track for its Thursday Night Football broadcasts. The track, titled “Let Em Know,” is performed by singer‑songwriter Shaboozey. Fans will first hear the song this Thursday when the Green Bay Packers host the Washington Commanders on Prime Video.
Why Prime Video Chose Shaboozey
Stacey Rosenson, head of U.S. Sports Marketing for Prime Video, says Shaboozey captures the energy of a Thursday night kickoff. She explains that the artist brings a youthful vibe that matches the streaming platform’s audience. The decision also follows a long tradition of sports networks partnering with popular musicians.
How the Song Fits Into NFL Traditions
The NFL has a rich history of music tied to its games. Hank Williams Jr. sang “All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Tonight” for Monday Night Football for decades. More recently, NBC Sports teamed up with Carrie Underwood for Sunday Night Football, and ESPN hired Saweetie to curate music for Monday Night Football. By adding Shaboozey to the lineup, Prime Video joins a list that includes J Balvin, Timbaland, Justin Timberlake, Marshmello, Drake, DJ Khaled and Diplo.
What Fans Can Expect
In a new marketing vignette, Shaboozey performs “Let Em Know” at a backyard party. The video shows football talent and fans dancing while the live performance plays. The scene sets a festive tone for the weekly broadcasts. Each Thursday night, the song will open the game and the Thursday Night Kickoff show.
The Soundtrack Behind the Scenes
Composer Pinar Toprak created the original score that still serves as the Thursday Night Football theme. Toprak’s music first appeared when Prime Video launched its football coverage in 2022. The new Shaboozey track sits alongside Toprak’s score, creating a layered audio experience for viewers.
Looking Ahead
Prime Video plans to feature “Let Em Know” for the rest of the season. The partnership signals the platform’s commitment to blending sports and music. As the season progresses, fans can look forward to fresh moments that combine the excitement of football with a catchy new anthem.
