Crunchyroll CEO Says Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Dates Remain Unclear

Fans of the Demon Slayer series gathered online after Rahul Purini, the chief executive of Crunchyroll, answered questions about the next movies in the Infinity Castle arc. He told reporters that the studio partners have not set a firm calendar yet. This answer sparked a wave of speculation across social media.

What the CEO Said

Purini explained that the first film in the Infinity Castle trilogy opened in Japan on July 18, 2025 and reached U.S. audiences on September 12. He added, “We announced a trilogy, but our partners at Aniplex and Ufotable have not decided on dates yet. We all feel a strong urge to bring more Demon Slayer to fans as soon as we can because the fanbase is waiting.” The comment makes it clear why the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle release date remains a mystery.

Why the Dates Are Still Open

Several factors influence the schedule. The animation studio Ufotable needs time to finish the high‑quality visuals that fans expect. Aniplex and Toho, the Japanese distributors, must also align their plans with international partners. In addition, the success of the first movie puts pressure on the team to deliver a sequel that lives up to expectations.

Speculation From the Community

Anime Rave posted a tweet in July 2025 suggesting that Part 2 could appear in 2027 and Part 3 in 2029. While Purini did not confirm those years, the speculation gives fans a rough idea of the timeline. The community continues to track statements from Crunchyroll, Ufotable, and Aniplex for any hint of a firm date.

What This Means for Fans

For now, fans should keep an eye on official announcements from Crunchyroll and the movie’s producers. The lack of a set Demon Slayer Part 2 release date does not diminish the excitement for the upcoming stories. The Infinity Castle arc promises new characters, deeper plot twists, and the signature action that made the series a worldwide hit.

In the meantime, the first Infinity Castle film remains in theaters across many countries. Viewers can still experience the epic battle scenes and emotional moments that define the Demon Slayer universe. As soon as the partners lock in a schedule, Crunchyroll will likely share the news through its channels.

Stay tuned for updates, and consider rewatching earlier seasons or reading the manga to stay connected with the story while you wait for the next release.
