Men in Black 3 has a new trailer out!

The second trailer for Men in Black 3 has hit the web, Will Smith and Josh Brolin fit so well together that at the end of the trailer I had to remind myself that it wasn’t Tommy Lee Jones as young Agent K.

Both of the previous film’s I would categorize as ‘go-to’ movies. What the hell does that mean you might ask, oh but I will explain. Say you are sitting on the couch its Sunday, you are tired, you worked hard all week, you just want to relax but everything on TV is garbage. Yourself and any possible partners and subsequent children are all taking turns flipping through channels. It’s a miserable time, this is when a ‘go-to’ movie comes into play, after all that flipping through channels you come across MiB. You may continue to flip but at the back of your mind you make a mental note ‘if I cant find anything else’. That is a ‘go-to’ movie something that you know you can always watch.

Do you have any ‘go-to’ movies of your own? Should I have thought of a better term? Most definately.

  1. Na, guess I’m just not the go-to movie guy. If there’s nothing on the TV I’m quick at switching it off. Life’s too short for go-to movies.
I only watch the movies I really want to see at that very moment in time. That’s why I love video on demand streaming services.

    1. Cmon now Pistol Pete there has to be some movie that you have seen more than a few times. You make a fair point though, with on demand my fictional movie limbo does surely occur less and less.

Last time something similar happened to me it was at an acquaintance home. I say acquaintance because when you invite a few people over to watch a movie and it turns out you are living in a time capsule where a 32″ Wide screen, weighing in at around 300 lbs with the resolution capabilities of a gameboy. You are not a friend.

I did broach the subject regarding the state of his entertainment area, quickly explained the pro’s of having a tv from this century. I could tell he was intrigued by my high level of expertise when I with my hands demonstrated for him how much space he could save. Unfortunately the wizardry of streaming or on demand terrified and confused him and I was asked to practice my dark arts elsewhere.

True story. Except for everything after 32″ widescreen, I may have exaggerated.

  2. My favourite “go to” movie has to be Tremors. No matter what I’m doing (housework, relaxing or just plain bored) I’m always happy to have the movie on in the background. Even if it’s not on TV, I’ll often just put on the DVD if I have nothing else to do!!

    1. Tremors thats a ‘go-to’ movie if I ever heard of one. Unfortunately I havent zapped over to that in years. Oh great now the thought of needing to see Tremors has formed. Incepted.
