New Expendables Clip Online – Basketball Court Fight

Not sure exactly why Statham feels like illustrating his profession in exactly this manner, but it seems to impress a very hot and aging well Charisma Carpenter.

Check out this basketball court action scene from The Expendables where Statham proves he is nothing but a playgound bully.

And that will win you the girl right? Actually they would be disgusted and run the other way, but regardless, it will have us lining up to see The Expendables.

  1. The clip is certainly taken out of context since it has been said that Charisma Carpenter is playing Statham’s fiance, and with the bruises on the face, this might have been how they meet for the first time, maybe he saw the bruises, etc and confronted the one(s) who did it. Maybe this is telling the story of how they meet in flashback form?

    1. Still a lot of “maybes”

Anything in a trailer is out of context and we wont know for sure til we see the film. But looking at only what they have offered, all we see is Statham whoopin ass. Which is the point of the film.

  2. On the film, I can’t wait for this and hope it lives up to it’s OTT cast. As for this thread, I have to agree with the majority here as it’s very obvious that this film isn’t going to throw any curves in plot or it’s acts. It’s obviously a beating that was well deserved.
However those who expect any mea culpa from the writers here should know better…

  3. Reality check here people you’re analyzing a clip from upcoming Stallone movie. Does it really matter? However, to put my two cents in I completely agree with Ben. He hit the nail right on the head. Also, you can’t generalize about women Rodney. Not every woman in this world would run away from something like that especially after being beaten, which is the impression its giving. Statham did what any real man would do in a situation like that.

  4. honestly i saw the clip and to just be blunt common sense showed the bruises on the woman’s face as if she was hit and Jason’s character did what a real man would do. stand up to the guy that did it and beat the crap of a coward and what it seems like the cowards friends. the woman seems like someone he obviously cares about. if he didn’t then there would be no point to the attack. im not saying u have bully issues or such (but i can see why they would say as we are all victims of perception due to personal experiences or beliefs ) but i see a woman with a bruised up face and a hero going on the court to confront someone and his gang of friends. i can put them together and know Karma has been delivered.

  5. I’m guessing Rodney is a bit sensitive when it comes to the playground bully stuff.

I’m sorry – but I do think that you took this clip the wrong way. The woman at the start is obviously quite scared and the way Jason approaches the group is very much a “you messed with this lovely lady, prepare to die” kinda thing. There’s obviously a lot more to this. It’s not like he’d randomly beat people up to impress a girl, that’s such a shallow look at this clip. I’m guessing with her bruised face and her acting very timid that the main guy of that group was her ex and giving her a bit of grief.

To comment on the actual clip, I think it’s pretty decent. I like that there is a subtle humor in it and well… it’s Jason Statham being a bad ass, what more can you ask for?

    1. You are over reacting. And no, I am not sensitive to playground bullies. You are making assumptions.

The point was that this whole clip is completely without context and we have no idea what his motivations are or the surrounding scene. We get to see Charisma Carpenter looking hot (despite being bruised a bit) and Statham kicking ass. But there is no reason WHY he is doing it.

And I did state that despite all this random scene provides, I will still be lining up to see it!

      1. It’s an ACTION movie, they don’t NEED a reason why he is kicking someone’s ass.

There is no grey area, only black and white, good and evil etc.

        Statham = good.

    1. How is it out of context. He tells some guy on the playground he is going to take his life. When the guy laughs him off he hospitalizes half his friends and gets all postal on him.

Then goes over to tell the girl thats what he does for a living. And she swoons?

Without seeing the movie its ALL out of context, but that they chose to show us just that, I am left with “Statham the playground bully wins the girl”
