New Daybreakers Trailer Online

A new trailer for the not so distant future vampire tale of Daybreakers is online. The story revolves around a world where a virus has turned most people to vampire like creatures that herd the remaining uninfected population for food. How will the vampires survive?

Check it out:

Vampires might be all the craze right now, so we know why it got made. And I love that they are not a traditional vampire, but rather a virally infected human that is a lot like a vampire. Its different and deviates from the fallback lore. It gives a less supernatural edge, and allows for something unreal to exist alongside the real without standing out.

Looks good to me.

  1. This is one of those trailers where you look at the thumbnail on the image and say “28 vampire days later” but now actually wathing this and seeing Dafoe and Sam I’ll giver her a go.

    thanks

  2. While some of the story reminds me a bit of David Goyer’s ‘Vampire Apocalypse” ideas that he hinted on in Blade Trinity (an idea which everyone seemed to hate) and always wanted to use for the series…

I think the trailer for Daybreakers is outstanding. However, I can’t help but notice the studio doesn’t think this flick is anything great. I did see a proposed January release, didn’t I? Why do I get the felling that it won’t be screened for press?

  3. hearing good things about this one. Pumped up to the eyeballs for a good vampire flick. Parts of the trailer actually remind me of the novel “I Am Legend” ie: the 2 vampire races, one which is highly evolved and the other more animalistc

  4. Looks really good, at least the twist is interesting. The beginning of the trailer gives me a EQUILIBRIUM feeling (only the beggining). Finaly, R-Rated Vampires who don’t glitter under the sun are taking back the screen!

  5. Looks to be a great cast, I’ll see this for sure when its released.

Interesting twist with the Vampires now outnumbering the Human Race. I can at least wrap my head around that concept.

  6. Better than the last trailer. But it seems just a little odd that the main character seems to be the only person EVER to even fathom a worry about what would happen without blood.
Other than that, I’m sold. I love Sam Neil, and I love Willem Dafoe just as much.
