Todd over at Twitch – hasn’t that got a cool ring to it? – has some news on the proper version of Exorcist: The Beginning, not that piss poor version that was released, but the alleged much stronger and better Paul Schrader version.
The good folks at Bloody News just dropped me a note pointing the way to their detailed review of Paul Schrader’s Exorcist prequel, which is running with a batch of new still shots. It’s pretty safe to say they like it. A lot. Also via Bloody News is this link to the opening sequence of the Schrader version
I’ve just watched the opening scene and it’s pretty powerful, also sets up and interesting twist on morality for the poor Father and possibly setting some vengeful spirits up for later.
Come on guys, hurry up and release this movie. Just admit your mistake and get on with it so you can scrape back some respect and we can see Schraders work.
We carried the story of this sometime ago…I’s not related yet because we haven’t gotten all the keywords setup yet.

Friggin’ idiots.
Must… blog… this.

Vic I believe that they filmed the entire movie – it was canned when the Studios saw the final cut! So what we’re waiting to see is an entire movie!
I haven’t seen the previously released version, but a co-reviewer on my site said it basically stank.
I thought the opening mentioned above was powerful as well… I wonder just how different this version can be from the first one? I mean how much footage did Schrader get on film?
